On 8th October 2018 Guillaume was chosen to become Airbus’s next Chief Executive Officer by the company’s Board of Directors and he is due to take up his new position on 10 April 2019.  In his current role as President of Airbus’s commercial business, he is upgrading the commercial unit’s manufacturing system as it embarks on the largest increase in aircraft production in its history.  He is leading the business into an era in which digital technology is transforming everything from how Airbus aircraft are designed and manufactured to how they are flown and maintained.  Another of Guillaume’s priorities is improving Airbus’s environmental performance by cutting emissions through the commercial unit’s operations, raising the fuel efficiency of its aircraft and over the longer-term, designing a new generation of cleaner passenger jets.

The 2019 Banquet will take place on Thursday 16 May at The InterContinental London Park Lane, with pre-dinner drinks served in the Park Lane Suite and dinner in the Ballroom.
